The Sun Still Rises in Rockport I

An early winter scene of Little Bay in front of the former Beasley's Eight Acres.  Looking across Little Bay we see  the  south end of Key Allegro and the north end of Rockport Beach.  The title refers to the extreme damage visited upon the coastal village of Rockport by Hurricane Harvey, followed by the energetic and determined efforts of the people of Aransas County to rebuild.

This painting was awarded 3rd Place at the Central Texas Pastel Society 2018 annual exhibit.  It was painted on archival paper and is custom-framed behind museum glass.
