Flying the Marsh

"Flying the Marsh" depicts a lone Roseate Spoonbill over the marshes of the Texas middle coast, and is based on a beautiful photo (with permission) taken by Cissy Beasley, whose regionally and nationally acclaimed wildlife photography can be found on her website, Coast and Cactus Photography (named after "Coast and Cactus Cookbook", authored by our mother, Anna Welhausen Beasley.  Because of their unique and bold hues, Spoonbills are great fun to draw/paint!
