One in a Vermillion (Flycatcher) - [after a photo by Cissy Beasley]

My pencil sketch of this vermillion flycatcher, from a photo taken by my sister, Cissy Beasley, was the first sketch I attempted in response to having Parkinson's Disease.   About a year after doing the pencil sketch I revisited this subject in colorful pastel, having discovered that medium in the interim.   This painting was given to dear friends, who are also deeply involved in birding.
